For detailed soap making instructions, follow our
Basic Cold Process Soap Making instructions.
- Once soap comes to a light trace, add fragrance and then remove approx. 1½ cups of the soap and add to this amount the Blue Ultramarine colour that has been dissolved in the tsp. of water.
- To swirl your soap, start by placing a small amount of Blue soap into the bottom of your mold and then add over this some of the white soap.
- Drizzle some more blue then some white, alternating between the two colours until the mold is full.
- Take a knife and pull the colour back and forth through the soap in the mold just like you would to swirl a cake.
- Cover your molds, as stated in the Basic Soap Making Instructions and continue to follow the rest of the instructions until you have completed the Soapmaking process.
- *An alternate swirling technique is to swirl the soap right in the bowl. Do this by adding the Blue soap to the White Soap in the bowl and swirl it around and then turning the bowl as you pour your soap into your molds.
