Anti-Wrinkle Cream

with AHA and Evening Primrose Oil
500 gr. Batch

1. Combine Part A and Part B together, mixing until all ingredients are fully emulsified and melted. Additional heating may be required
2. Continue mixing occasionally to ensure emulsion and even cooling.
3. When product is just warm (45'-50' Celsius) add Part C as well as any essential oil or Body care fragrances.
4. Package into Cosmetic Jars.

Hand Protectant Lotion

with Dimethicone, Comfrey and Lanolin

1 Kg. Batch

1. Combine Part A and Part B in a large microwave safe bowl or in a pot for in a double boiler on the stove.
2. Mix until everything is fully melted and no solids remain. Additional heating may be required.
3. Continue stirring occasionally to ensure even cooling and full emulsion.
4. When product is just cooled, approximately 45’-50’C add part C and any essential oil or fragrance oils.
5. Stir to combine and package into bottles. Product will not reach final thickness until fully cooled.

Hydrating Hemp Hand & Body Lotion

Makes 1 kg.

Silky Rosehip Hand & Body Lotion

Vitamin Enriched Moisturizing Cream

A Vitamin Enriched Moisturizing Cream that is high in Vitamins B5, E, F, A, Essential Fatty Acids and Amino Acids and is easily penetrating, making this cream excellent for dry, chapped or aging skin.

Makes 500 gram



Procedures:

Zinc Oxide Cream

Medicated creams such as the Zinc Oxide cream are designed to form a protective barrier while imparting intensive conditioning properties to the skin. Used on infants to treat diaper rash, urine rashes and irritated skin, they are also widely used by adults for treating everything from chafed skin to skin abrasions.

The formula is designed to be an intense heavy cream, with the zinc oxide added at the end while the product is still liquid at a percentage (in this case 18%) by weight of the total volume of the formula.

Cream Formula – 500 grams

Total 500 grams

1. Weigh all ingredients of Part A in a suitable plastic bowl.
2. Add Part B and stir to combine until no more solids remain. Additional heat may be required.
3. Allow to cool, stirring gently. When cream reaches below 45 – 50 degrees Celsius, stir in the Silk Amino, Vitamin E and Germall Plus.
4. At this stage you will begin to stir in the Zinc Oxide Powder. Do no dump the powder in, as this will cause lumping in the product. Shake the powder in slowly and stir well to mix throughout the cream. Package into cosmetic Jars

Super Moisturizing Lip Balm

Lip Balms are the popular alternative to the chap sticks of the past 30 years. Available in creamy wax form, gloss form, flavoured, coloured, glittered etc. they are popular with young and old alike.

The Lip Balm Formula shown below is for a premium moisturizing lip balm. Incorporating natural butters, oils and waxes, it will help prevent damage as well as work to repair any damage that has already occurred.
Makes 227 grams / 1/2 lb.

1. Melt the cocoa butter, beeswax and shea butter slowly over low-medium heat in a double boiler or in the microwave until melted.
2. Add the oils and stir well.
3. Add flavouring to desired level of taste.
4. Pour into containers while still in a semi-viscous liquid.
5. Allow to cool in containers and then cap.

The oils we use in this recipe are chosen for their extensive skin care benefits. Other oils can be substituted if desired. Comfrey oil is renowned for its soothing and skin protecting properties. Castor Oil is a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin. Avocado oil is rich in Vitamin A,D,E, proteins and amino acids, and will penetrate quickly into the skin. Vitamin E Anti-oxidant Blend will help to extend the shelf life of this oil based product.

Rich & Creamy Exfoliating Body Scrub

For Gentle Cleansing and Soft Exfoliation
500 Gram Batch Size



Procedures:

1. Heat Part A and stir gently until all Crothix is melted.
2. Add Part B and stir gently until all ingredients are melted and fully combined. Additional heating may be required.
3. Allow the product to cool with frequent gradual stirring.
4. Add Part C when temperature reaches below 45 - 50 degrees Celsius.
5. Gradually add in the Palm Wax Beads with stirring. Be careful not to pour the wax beads in when the product is too hot to avoid melting beads.
6. Package in Cosmetic Jars and enjoy.

Rich & Creamy Exfoliating Body Scrub

For Gentle Cleansing and Soft Exfoliation
Makes approx 2 Cups – By Volume Measurement

• Follow Instructions as in the Rich & Creamy Exfoliating Body Scrub recipe done in weight measurements.

Massage Melts

Formulated with a variety of solid oils, carrier oils and essential oils, they are designed to be a solid bar which when placed on the skin will slowly melt from the heat. This, in theory, makes for less mess.

The goal with this melt is to make a firm bar that will give the skin lots of lubricity, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. Scent this product with essential oil, customizing it to suite the desired mood of the occasion



Directions:

1. Heat part A of the recipe, stirring to blend everything together.
2. Once the solids are fully melted add the ingredients of Part B, stirring frequently.
3. Once everything has been blended together, and the product has started to cool, add the essential oil and pour into molds or lotion stick containers.

Individual massage melts can be fragranced separately by placing drops of the oil into the massage melt after pouring into the molds, and stirring carefully to mix.

This can also be poured into our white 50 gram lotion stick containers.

Chocolate Body Butter

Designed to provide a moisturizing massage in a trendy, natural and EDIBLE format. Containing only food grade oils and natural butters, they are edible, and this formula creates a product with a rich chocolate taste.

A shower will probably be a necessity after a massage with a body butter, as the natural butters will leave your skin soft, supple, but a little greasy. Your skin will never feel softer, and the massage can be relaxing too.

Makes 500 grams

1. Measure out the ingredients (except Vitamin E and the Flavour) and place within a double boiler or in a container for heating in the microwave.
2. Heat slowly until all the solids have melted and the product has a smooth consistency.
3. Cool with frequent stirring, adding the Vitamin E and Flavour when the product is starting to thicken.
4. Pour into jars. If necessary, stir within the jar to achieve that whipped butter consistency.

If having problems setting up place in the fridge until firm. The natural oils and butters in this recipe were chosen for their lubricity in massage as well as their great skin care benefits. The chocolate is included in this recipe for its marketing appeal and who doesn’t like chocolate!!

Shead Nut & Hemp Butter

Makes 150 grams


Directions:
Measure out the ingredients into a small measuring cup. Heat in the microwave until warm and pliable but not fully melted. Whip the butter together vigorously until creamy and package into small jars.

Facial Massage Serum

An intense combination of oils rich in GLA Essential Fatty Acids, natural tocopherols and Vitamin C, the building blocks of healthy, soft and supple skin. This Facial Massage Serum is great massaged into the face, temples, neck and shoulders to help relieve tension & stress or to provide a relaxing experience that will leave your skin smooth and moisturized.

Makes 120 grams

Procedures:

Measure out all ingredients into a measuring cup. Add desired essential oils and pour into bottles. Enjoy.

Voyageur Herbal Salve

Makes 227 grams / .5 lb

Essential Oils may be added as desired for scent and therapeutic action.

The grams listed in the recipe above have been rounded out to the nearest gram to adjust the recipe to sizing that will work with the scales and the small size of the batches being done.

Directions:

1. Measure out the beeswax and oils (Not the Vitamin E) into a small pot for heating on the stove.
2. Heat slowly while stirring on low-medium heat until no more solids remain. Do not heat on high or leave unattended as excessive heat will burn the beeswax or damage the therapeutic properties of the oils.
3. When fully melted stir well to mix and turn off the heat.
4. Once slightly cooled, add the Vitamin E (anti-oxidant) and any essential oils. Stir and pour into salve jars. Try our Amber Glass Jars available in a variety of sizes.

Non-Petroleum Baby Jelly

Non-petroleum Baby Jelly is a niche product that is gaining popularity with home formulators for small children. It combines a moisturizing oil, in this case Castor Oil, to which heated beeswax is whisked in to create a whipped jelly consistency. An easy, fun product, it provides a protective barrier to the skin, holding in moisture and helping to prevent chapping or irritation.

Makes 500 grams

1. Measure the beeswax and castor oil and melt in a pot on the stove.
2. When completely melted allow to cool a bit then stir in the Vitamin E.
3. Package into cosmetic jars.

Li'l Critter's Bee Gone Aromatherapy Body Mister

Use a 60 ml / 2 oz amber or blue glass bottle with a mister, as preferred for Aromatherapy use. Fill the bottle with distilled or bottled water. Add Essential Oil Blend. Note: If desired, mix Essential Oil blend with equal drops of Polysorbate 20 (which would be 34 drops) and then add mixture to the water base. This will hold the Essential Oils in the water instead of floating on top.

Blend the essential oils together in a small glass bottle, then add blend to the water base.


These Essential Oils are insect deterrents, cooling and healing for the skin.

*if making this blend for children, please half the essential oil recipe and use the Eucalyptus radiata species.

Aromatherapy Body Mister for Sunburns and Irritation

Use a 60 ml / 2 oz amber or blue glass bottle with a mister, as preferred for Aromatherapy use. Fill the bottle with distilled or bottled water. Add Essential Oil Blend. Note: If desired, mix Essential Oil blend with equal drops of Polysorbate 20 (which would be 34 drops) and then add mixture to the water base. This will hold the Essential Oils in the water instead of floating on top.

Blend the essential oils together in a small glass bottle, then add blend to the water base.


These Essential Oils are healing and soothing to the skin, Tea tree is known for helping with shock and has antiseptic properties.

Medicated Protecting Body Powder

Medicated protecting powders are popular with all ages. Used for the treatment of diaper rash, to help prevent and heal chafed skin, and to help protect and heal irritated skin.

In this formula we have utilized the natural healing starch - Arrowroot. The use of Arrowroot powder has a long and storied past. A tradition medicine of the North American Indian, it was used to treat wounds from poisoned arrows, hence its name. A natural starch, it is used in many culinary products, and is increasingly found in many high end and natural body and after bath powders.

Add drops of fragrance oil or essential oil if desired.

Package into 4 oz. or 8 oz. Powder Shakers

If making this product for use at home or resale, there are some common directions that should be followed.

For diaper rash – Change wet and soiled diapers promptly, cleanse the diaper area and dry gently. Apply powder liberally, as often as necessary with each diaper change. When applying the product caution should be taken not to shake too vigorously, shake gently to achieve the most effective coverage.

With any powdered product you should: Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only. If condition worsens or does not improve after 7 days then consult a physician. Do not use on broken skin. Avoid inhalation. Keep out of the reach of children.

We have incorporated the soothing effects of Arrowroot Powder with the absorbing effects of Kaolin Clays together with Corn Starch to create a light dusting powder that you will love to use all over!
